The site
This site is static. It sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics, and stores nothing about your visit. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request your browser makes for them.
The mailing list
If you subscribe, your email address is stored by Resend, which sends the mail on our behalf. We use it for one thing: occasional announcements about restorations and releases. A few messages a year, no third-party sharing, no ads.
Subscriptions are double opt-in. Entering your address stores it in a state that cannot receive anything, and only confirming from the link we email marks you as a subscriber. If you never confirm, you never hear from us again. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the mail immediately. You can also ask for removal or a copy of what is stored by emailing us; see Contacts.
The wishlist
Voting needs no account and sets no cookie. To keep one browser to one vote per game, the endpoint takes your IP address and user agent, hashes them together with a secret key, and stores only that hash next to the vote. The address itself is never written down, and the hash cannot be turned back into one without the key. The game titles, years and cover art on the board come from a game database (IGDB by default), which sees the search terms the endpoint forwards but nothing about you.
Ask us to drop a vote and we will; see Contacts.
The games
The restorations are desktop applications, not part of this website. They read game assets from your own machine and do not send anything anywhere, except for the online multiplayer coordination service where a project documents one.
